Deerfield Beach

Named for the deer that roamed along the Hillsboro River during its early history, Deerfield Beach is a city on the Atlantic Ocean, located to the south of Boca Raton. It’s home to award-winning beaches with high water quality, a lovely boardwalk, a popular arboretum known as the “Tree Zoo,” the notable Fishing Pier, and the sprawling Quiet Waters Park that offers fishing, bike trails, cable water-skiing, and campgrounds. Originally a vegetable-growing area, Deerfield Beach is now a residential resort and a hub of distribution.

Deerfield Beach offers its residents incredible biodiversity, recreational sports options, and quiet, family-friendly living. The area also celebrates music, culture, and history through a plethora of festivals, such as its annual Deerfield Beach Festival of the Arts. The city and broader South Florida is a melting pot of cultures with an especially large Brazilian population. Today its economy is strongly based on tourism and it serves as a popular retirement community. Sources: Visit Florida, Britannica, Movoto
